Sir William relishes his role as a cat defender and proponent. He often hosts "salon events" at the guest parlor in his home to talk about cats. Discussions often include the public's positive and negative perceptions of cats and how to improve the cat's reputation. Afternoon tea, coffee, biscuits and other various sweet treats are usually served promptly at 4:00 pm to his many frequent guests.
